Abstract

The article attempts to analyze modern information terrorism. Modern society is unthinkable without communications; the entire life of the average European, American, and many Russians is tightly "tied" to information. The disruption of information systems inevitably leads to a loss of a sense of reality, chaos, and both social and economic collapse. Foreseeing the negative consequences of a terrorist attack on the infosphere seems virtually impossible, and the consequences of such attacks can be catastrophic.
