Abstract
The article is devoted to the shadow banking system, which is a kind of parallel traditional bank credit intermediation. Similarly banking business shadow banking system performs the transformation of credit, debt and liquidity. Volume of the shadow banking system is around 60 trillion dollars, or 25-30% of the global financial sector. The article analyzes the structure of the shadow banking system, its distinctive features and system risks it causes.
